● One of initial members of Digital Still Camera solution in Mediatek● Join the due diligence stage of acquisition target ● SW group leader of Digital Still Camera solution─ Launch the project of MediaTek’s Digital Still Camera solution including organization setup, product definition and solution development model● Promoted as Deputy Director of Digital Still Camera solution Div.─ Expatriation out for 1 year for managing / coordinating between MediaTek and the acquired subsidiary

● System application and development on digital home related solutions including DVD-Player, Blue-Ray Player● Optical servo control and reading channel of DVD-Player SOC─ Developed the FW for MediaTek’s DVD-Player SOC, which is the highly integrated solution including optical mechanism servo control, optical mechanism read channel, MPEG1/ MPEG2/ MPEG4 decoder, Audio DSP, video display and other input/output peripheral─ 3 generations of solution was developed● Promoted as Dept. Manager of DVD-Player SOC solution Div.─ Built up turn-key solution supporting model for DVD player vendors to create own solutions─ Led SW group on customers supporting in turn-key model, either modified from standard model or fully customized according to customer’s requirements, such as SONY, PIONEER and LG● SW group leader of Blue-Ray solution─ Launch the project of MediaTek’s Blue-Ray player solution, including tech. transfer from Phillips, built up product definition and SW engineering plan for development

● System application engineer of optical front-end for DVD-player─ To develop the SW on the chip for optical mechanism based on MediaTek’s 1st generation of DVD-ROM solution and optimize read ability and compatibility for various optical mechanism over various disks─ Supported DVD player vendor to build up own solution. Customized according to customer’s requirements● 16x DVD-ROM solution─ Evaluated and developed the 16x DVD-ROM solution of MediaTek. 2 generations was developed which are leading DVD-ROM solutions for both performance and cost structure in the world─ Supported Samsung DVD-ROM solution, customized the F/W for Samsung optical mechanism and developed the corresponding F/W for mass production

● Software development of DVD-Player─ ATAPI host driver based on ST Microelectronics solution, including in-house test program and device driver APIs for audio/video codec─ DVD servo front-end based on TOSHIBA solution─ ATAPI device driver based on MediaTek and TOSHIBA solution, including in-house test program and device driver APIs for audio/video codec─ DVD navigation SW based on ST Microelectronics solution
