Developed strategies and oversaw general operation of the Discovery Education Community, an award-winning blended community of practice. Implemented community initiatives, promotions, and events (in person and through virtual experiences) to engage and retain active community members. Ensured deep usage of Discovery Education products and services by fostering a strong sense of customer brand loyalty among community members.

Managed online community of educators committed to improving student achievement by using live data and digital resources. Responsible for growing social media interactions and followers, creating and curating resources, planning virtual conferences, and writing blog series.

Designed, described, and developed new paper and e-product assessments for students with disabilities. Ensured successful transition of new products for students with disabilities by creating and instituting training and mentoring materials.Served as the lead developer and project coordinator for multiple alternate assessment contracts.

Worked closely with departments of education, managed state advisory committees, and facilitated content workgroup meetings to create testing instruments, select test items, construct assessment frameworks, develop training materials, and draft proficiency descriptions and standards. Served as Program Manager for alternate assessments in multiple states.

Taught students ages 6-21 with a variety of disabilities. Developed and implemented IEPs to provide not only a free and appropriate public education, but one that was also engaging and effective.
