After a few years cutting my teeth as a software developer, I founded Lendable in 2014. I was there every step of the way in the role of CTO as the company grew from 2 of us all the way through to managing a team of ~25 engineers across 3 different product offerings as the company reached unicorn status. I wore many hats along the way - many of which, as in most startups, I began by simply learning and doing myself on the job, until the company was sufficiently established to have specialised teams in place: - The original architecture, design and build of the Lendable platform which persists to this day.- Setting roadmaps and strategy.- Compliance, Legal, Accounting and Auditing in an FCA regulated environment.- Technical due diligence with Hedge funds, international banks and family offices in conjunction with securing £1bn+ in debt financing.- Consultation and technical Implementation of GDPR.- Building out and managing Lendable's world class engineering team.- Implementation of OKRs and other higher level management techniques when the need arose.As of 2021 have taken a step back as CTO, but remain as a Director and Consultant.
