I provide formulation services for product customization and support technical services and marketing in product development.Accomplishments in 2022:- Under my leadership, the SK NA Nutrition/Formulation department saw a total estimated $1.15 million CAD in savings for the organization as a result of direct actions related to formulation constraints and the use of new/alternative raw materials.- Completed a total of 66 formal, documented trials pertaining to process and/or formulation improvements across the 3 facilities.- Assumed primary contact in gathering and importing nutritional principles and recommendations into North America from the global Skretting Aquaculture Innovation team headquartered in Stavanger, Norway.- Successfully implemented BestMix 3, the company's standardized formulation software, in all 3 facilities within 6 months of leadership.- Developed a standard procedure in North America of evaluating new and existing ingredients in terms of usage demand while taking into account varying costs, availability and nutritional content, thereby providing valuable insight to support decisions made by the Purchasing and Finance departments.- Authored more than 5 standardized operating procedures for common formulation tasks to enhance quality of training for new employees. I have been awarded the Undergraduate Student Research Assistantship Award by the Natural Sciences & Engineering Research Council to undertake research in a novel area of controlling boar taint. I performed in vitro radiolabeling analyses of various feed additives that may hold potential as effective binders of compound responsible for boar taint. The data became the basis for the design of a subsequent feeding trial examining its implications in a live pig model.

My leadership was praised and resulted in the expansion of two additional academic-oriented clusters in the succeeding year. I directed part of a summer-long experiment pertaining to the characterization of dairy cattle estrus with the guidance from a ruminant husbandry post-doctoral fellow.
