A perpetual learner always challenging myself, I am a software engineer with over 15 years of experience working for a mix of startups and companies composed of a wide range of team sizes. My core skillset is centered around JavaScript, Node.js, and libraries like Webpack, React and React Native, but I am proficient in both backend and frontend technologies.I’ve had the privilege of mentoring and collaborating with other developers, architecting several solutions from the ground-up, implementing several automated testing processes, and debugging difficult issues. I’m well-versed in an array of CI systems like Jenkins, CircleCI, Gitlab, and Buildkite, and understand their intricacies and how to create efficient workflows with them.My creative problem solving and performance-first philosophy helped me design and create a testing library that can run over a thousand performance-heavy tests in 3 minutes vs their original run time of 25-30 mins. Other solutions involve an automated system for flagging unexpected bundle size bloat across code pushes, and tracking the usage of global components across different verticals to aid developers on what pages are impacted when changes are done to those components.I recognize there is a balance between shippable code and quality. My tenacity helps me solve any type of problem, and sometimes come up with creative solutions. I just don’t use libraries, but often seek to understand how they tick, in efforts to solve performance bottlenecks.
