My research focuses on the immune response to burn injuries, aiming to understand how immune reactions influence wound healing, antibacterial activity, and overall recovery in burn patients. I seek to improve treatment by analyzing patient blood and skin samples to observe cellular and cytokine reactions following burn injury. Utilizing cell culture, advanced microscopy and flow cytometry techniques, he gains detailed insights into the cellular processes.To summarize and make use of data from animal experiments, we developed a comprehensive database that compiles existing literature on the cellular and cytokine responses to burn injuries. At the Burn Research Lab, we have created a full skin equivalent model that simulates burn wound healing and inflammatory processes. This model will be used to test therapeutic interventions, with the goal of improving burn treatment while avoiding the need for experimental animals.Work experience in oncology clinical trials (trial assistant and proposals) and infection diagnostics (medical analyst).
