- regulating expression of genes that code for the small nuclear RNAs (snRNAs)- performing various biochemical and molecular biological techniques to study Drosophila system- cloning recombinant DNA -purifying transcriptional proteins from Drosophila melanogaster cells using differential centrifugation, affinity chromatography (Nickel column and Flag resin) and dialysis methods.- performing Western Blot assays with polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies.- assembling electrophoresis gel, native gels and SDS-PAGE gels - performing Bradford assay to measure the concentration of protein samples using Nanodrop UV-Vis spectrophotometer.- performing Electrophoretic Mobility Shift Assay (EMSA) for DNA-proteins interactions.- collecting data, analyzing results and organizing research documents
