Project Leader
Current- Ensure that project-lifecycle deliverables are consistently completed to agreed budget and schedule constraints. This includes: design and development estimates; functional and technical designs; coding and unit test; integration, system and regression test planning and execution; error resolution; and internal project documentation.- Lead improvement initiatives.- Produce a project plan and resource estimation- Understand and ensure that the project is using the accepted methodology to complete enhancements.- Provide timely communications and status updates including schedules and variances.- Evaluation design alternatives and make decisions based on efficiency/performance, risk, client impact, integration with existing components, cost, and staffing.- Recognize when a project is in jeopardy of exceeding estimated hours or timeframes and mitigate the problem, negotiate a solution, and escalate to management.- Delegate appropriate efforts to others and hold them accountable for the timing and quality of their work.- Accept appropriate authority to make decisions based upon options and potential consequences.- Continuously consult with relevant stakeholders for the projects you manage to understand relative priorities, delivery timeframes, and budget expectations including any changes to these. Plan projects and communicate credible estimates, resource requirements, achievable schedules, and risks to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders in a timely and responsive fashion.- Continuously monitor and regularly communicate risks and progress against agreed schedules and budgets. Alert relevant stakeholders well in advance where a deliverable is not achievable or a delay or overrun is likely to occur; this should allow sufficient time for a sensible course of action to be taken. Recommend and/or execute agreed corrective actions.- Be involved in short term strategic planning for the team.
