I've been programming since I was in grade school, well over 20 years. I was a teaching assistant for programming classes when I was in high school. I did Computer Science in university. I did some exploration after university to figure out what I was going to specialize in, which got me into a some emerging technology, and some old technology - Javascript, Functional programming and Lisp. Which is what I've been doing professionally and in my spare time, since.Clojure / Elixir / Javascript developerBash developer, in angerI read, fork, post issues, and contribute to the majority of the code I use.Interests: Functional/Declarative programming; Testing; Constraint Solving; Datalog; Pattern Matching; Parsing.I enjoy solving hard and interesting problems, and learning about different solutions to solving problems I know.I strive to produce testable code.I like Emacs too much for my own good.I enjoy reading Hacker News, C2 wiki, phys.org, and other science/space news and publications, as well as watch programming conferences such as Strange Loop.I attend a lot of programming/tech meetups.I volunteer as a programming mentor, when I have the time.Non-computer things I enjoy: skiing; skating; cycling; rock climbing; travel.
