I have finished my assignment with a Fuel and Lubricant additive company as acting Director of Operations. I am available for a new assignment. Just settled an injury case for a tug/barge officer. Still working on one more law case (16 completed so far). I spent time as a Marine Engineer on a team of industry experts doing the redelivery of vessels chartered for the BP well blowout in the Gulf of Mexico. I was situated in Mobile, Tampa, New Orleans and Houston.Responsible for Profit-Loss, contract reporting and controls. As GM and COO, managed a $45Million per year shipyard facility. Built and Supervised a workforce of more than 120 employees and 30 subcontractors. Successfully won new vessel construction contracts of $16 million. Revamped and updated contract structures to assure increased profit for the company.

Manager of MSC and MARAD vessels, including Budgets, Overhaul and maintenance P&L management. Oversaw and was responsible for lifecycle management of the diesel-powered underway replenishment (UNREP) tanker USNS Pecos, including ABS class compliance and applying DOD contracting requirements, FAR purchasing requirements and Military Specs. Tracked maintenance requirements repairs with vessels officers and using computer-based condition monitoring tracking and diagnostic systems, wrote overhaul specifications and provided work scope and cost estimates. Managed several voyage repairs and 3 month $5 Million overhaul period at Cascade General.

Managed 5 direct reports in the research department. Reported to VP Marketing and Sales and VP Research and Development. Direct interface with customers at Chevron, OMI, Horizon Lines, Matson, APL, OSG, Crowley, Foss, Tidewater, and Military entities such as USCG, MSC, MARAD to assure proper usage and spec compliance of products. Effected type certifications with ABS, DNV and Lloyd's for manufacturing of Ultra-High Strength Cordage. Supervised research, development, materials testing and certification of the marine product line. Worked closely with suppliers and purchasing. Performed duties of VP Offshore division during his absence.

Supervisor, Oronite Global Sales Planning and Support - Responsible for all sales and marketing materials for international support of the Oronite Marine Lubricants product line. Supervised 11 employees to effectively manage Global Marketing, including personnel in foreign offices in France, England, Japan and India. Support staff responsible for uniform presentation of products, services and capabilities. President of Quality Council, winner of Oronite Super Star award for implementing ISO 9001 Total Quality Management Program. Authored and gave presentations for training and sales. Product Manager, Marine Lubricants, Oronite Marketing – developed proprietary lubricant package formulations for most major marine lube oil marketers, e.g., Exxon-Mobil, Chevron, Total, ELF, Shell and others.Supervisor, Design and Construction – Chevron Sippoing Company – supervised and managed a diverse team of 21 Marine Engineers and Naval Architects for conversions and new-building of ships and FPSOs. Other duties included regulatory compliance and legal review. I was also responsible for fuels, lubricants and chemicals across the fleet, energy conservation and casualty investigation.Senior Repair Superintendent – Chevron Shipping Company – maintained and built tankers abroad and in the U.S. Surveyed vessels for purchase for product and crude oil carriage and LNG, and crude oil storage. Appointed as guarantee officer for 6 vessels built in Japan.

Supervised 21 people in the Southwest Region. Responsibilities included assuring quality delivery of crude oil and products throughout a multi-state pipeline system from gathering lines in Elk Hills, crude oil pipelines from Santa Barbara Channel, to many product lines in greater Southern California and a Trans-pipeline from Long Beach to Texas. Responsible for compliance with all State, Federal and Regional Regulations including DOT Pipeline regulations and hydro tests (FERC), NFPA Firefighting equipment, environmental compliance for 2 tank farms and marine terminals. Responsible for 8" to 42" diameter pipeline system operation, maintenance and improvements. Designed and constructed manifold changes, pig launchers/receivers, pumps and driver upgrades and control room improvements. Worked with Land Department to re-route pipelines as necessary.

Energy, Power & Utility Section -Surveyed and arranged purchase of a Dedicated Vessel for the Contingency Cleanup organization Clean Seas, Santa Barbara Channel. Conducted on-site survey and reported back to DOE on several storage, terminal and pipeline options for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
