I lead the design and development of next generation cloud based UCaaS platform for the #1 business communication service provider.

I lead 2 platform services team -1. OCI LakeRecruit and work with global technical leaders and engineers to design and develop next generation Data Lake service that provides centralized storage and governance capabilities using open source technologies like Apache Spark, Ranger, Hive etc.2. OCI Data Flowhttps://www.oracle.com/big-data/data-flow/I lead the development of cloud native BigData Service based on Apache Spark. This is part of our hyper scale, multi tenant cloud, deployed in more than 40 regions.- OCI Data Flow simplifies and speeds up the delivery of Spark based BigData and Machine Learning applications by managing all aspects of Apache Spark jobs, operations and infrastructure in the cloud.- Bring your Spark apps (Scala, Python, Java, SQL) and run it using OCI Data Flow- Existing Spark apps can be imported from on-prem Infra or other places and run it w/o modifying using OCI Data Flow- Machine Learning apps can be run at scale using OCI Data FlowTech Stack - Java, Apache Spark, Apache Livy, Apache Ranger, Delta Lake, K8s, Docker, Terraform, helm, Grafana, etc

+ Leading re-architecture effort of next gen Data Hub eco-system based on Azure (AKS, ADF, HDInsights, Cosmos DB, Event Hub, App Service, App Insights, SQL DB, Azure Search, ADLS2 etc). + Complete ownership of SupportAssist Data Hub/Data Engineering platform consisting of cloud native web services and Hadoop based (HBase, Hive, Kafka, Spark, ES etc) data lake. This platform is responsible for 25M telemetry file ingest (PCF, Spring boot, Spring cloud) (2TB data per day), ETL at real time and feeding processed data to various Data Science/Analytics teams for building models etc. The platform also has cloud native (federated) API layer to expose data to various consuming apps for faster resolution of hardware failure, improve customer interaction and experience etc.

Dell Serviceability tools development (Advanced Diagnostics & Online Diagnostics)Responsibilities:* As an engineering manager, I own all engineering deliverables & project management activities like planning, staffing, scheduling, design, development, and delivery of the product. * I am also responsible for people management i.e. interviewing and hiring, team building, retaining key engineers, motivating the team, performance management (performance plans, mentoring, coaching, employee reviews, and feedback). I am also responsible for the development of my 9 team members.* Budgeting for current & future development and enhancement * Interlock w/ internal (other teams) and external (vendor) stake holders* Awarded with Director’s “Bronze” award.Dell Proactive System Management for Enterprise (PSME): The PSME service is a Cloud based SaaS solution that provides service contract tracking and proactive support services for customers. PSME addresses two major customer pain points: ensuring that the service contracts on hardware are maintained appropriately and reducing the amount of time spent on break/fix activities.Dell Remote Infrastructure Monitoring (RIM): RIM is a hosted; Software as a Service (SaaS)-enabled Cloud based solution. Using this solution, customer can discover & track critical infrastructure devices, monitor for faults, performance & security vulnerabilities and manage patches.

EDM EMC Data Manager (Network Backup): EMC Data Manager (EDM) is a centralized, high-performance backup and restore system optimized for Symmetric-based and distributed UNIX and Windows NT database environments. It can handle the backup and restore needs of the largest enterprise databases.Responsibilities:* Provided technical guidance and mentoring a team of 10 people (offshore). * Responsible for finding Solaris specific issues like threads, semaphore, mutex, fork system calls and replace them with POSIX calls. * Looked into Solaris compiler (Forte) related issues. * Actively involved in design and development of STL "shim classes" for Rogue Wave library. * Also responsible for designing and implementing pass_thru device driver for Linux to talk to SCSI Tape Library Unit.Projects Completed: * Porting EDM 5.0 from Solaris 8 to Red Hat Linux 7.2 (kernel 2.4.7). * Replaced Solaris specific calls with POSIX calls (e.g. threads, semaphore) and designed and implemented STL based 'shim classes' to replace Rogue Wave Tools.h++ library.* Identified Solaris and GNU compiler specific issues in EDM and delivered the report to the customer.* Designed and implemented a message caching service for Solid database to improve EDM event report performance (reduced reporting time from 20min to 53sec for 200k records).Environment: * C/C++, Solaris (8), Forte Development Environment (6.2), Red Hat Linux (7.2, kernel 2.4.7), GCC 3.0.3, Solid embedded engine (3.5x), STL, Rational Rose 2000, ClearCase, CVS.Storage Network System Performance Library: Responsibilities:* The system performance related information is stored in different places on different platform. I was responsible for system analysis and design apart from the development. I was responsible to design and developed the same library on NT from the scratch. I was also responsible for writing test cases and performing unit and integration tests.

The tier based SP3D was developed using Microsoft's distributed technology known as COM.I was responsible for system analysis, design and development of various components (COM objects) of AreasAndZones module. I was actively involved in requirement analysis for HangerAndSupport and prepared an initial draft for the catalog data. I was also responsible for conducting training program for the new team members.
