I bring a unique combination of technical engineering and environmental conservation skill sets. My initial career role as a senior Quality Assurance (QA) engineer/manager gave me experience in software technology as well as in project management. In my role as a sales technical analyst, I gained the experience to be a liaison between cross-functioning departments such as marketing, product management and engineering and an ability to present to customers in technical executive briefings.My more recent career path in conservation GIS and data analyst roles has brought back my technical abilities in providing spatial analysis towards environmental conservation and in the energy utilities sectors. In particular, in the area of conservation GIS, my experience includes: 1) supporting field biologists with spatial analyses, home range calculations for protected and endangered species2) working with large telemetry/GPS data sets to provide cartographic representations for better understanding of species ranges and impactIn the utilities and energy sector, my role as a GIS/data analyst at PG&E enables me to apply my QA background combined with GIS to contribute to QC, data management and organization, analysis, validation, evaluation metrics and workflowsMy specific skills includes QC tracking using Excel, SAP, geo-spatial data organization, proprietary ArcGIS softwares such as PG&E - Gas Viewer, Apple - Fusion Maps, geospatial software applications, QGIS, ArcGIS PRO, ArcGIS, Spatial Analysis for raster processing, converting/digitizing raw (vector and raster) datasets and the utilization of LAS datasets to analyze ground features.
