During my internship at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, I enhanced my adaptability and communication skills by engaging with various teams, including product development, marketing, and upper management. My role involved working on two significant projects that honed my problem-solving abilities and technical knowledge.Administrative Design Changes:I was tasked with facilitating administrative design changes through detailed memorandums. This project required me to coordinate with diverse business sectors such as product development engineers, marketing teams, and quality engineers. The experience taught me the importance of flexibility and adaptability, as many discussions involved complex technical design engineering. This pushed me out of my comfort zone, leading me to ask insightful questions, deepen my understanding of the products, and gain an appreciation for the meticulous effort involved in producing high-quality respiratory care products.Substantiating Product Claims:Another key project involved substantiating product claims, which was crucial due to the potential legal implications of inaccurate claims, especially given Fisher & Paykel Healthcare’s significant U.S. customer base. Working alongside a senior marketing manager and a fellow intern, I reviewed promotional materials for released products to ensure that all claims were accurately supported by clinical evidence. This project leveraged my marketing background and underscored the importance of precision and evidence in product marketing.
