I am a dedicated R&D professional with over 9.5 years of expertise in cutting tool materials and processes. My career has given me a comprehensive understanding of material characterization, hard materials processing, process development, and innovation. At Kennametal’s Bangalore plant, I’ve spearheaded multiple process development initiatives, including closed-loop washing systems, RO water treatment, and the localization of raw materials and chemistries, driving significant process improvements and operational efficiency.In addition to my hands-on experience, I’ve made significant contributions to academia and industry. My work includes publishing multiple research papers, presenting at international conferences, and developing IPs and patents in areas such as corrosion, cutting tool material processing, electrochemical recycling, and coatings. These efforts reflect my commitment to advancing material science.Currently, I lead key projects in raw material evaluation, alternate material development, and process localization. I also supervise a global competency team across Kennametal plants focused on cutting tool washing processes. I’m pursuing a Ph.D. in Electrochemistry, focusing on "Electrochemically Modulated Extraction of Metals from Cemented Carbide Scraps and Its Application in Energy Storage Devices."With a passion for problem-solving and innovation, I’m driven to push the boundaries of material science and contribute to breakthrough advancements in cutting tool technology and beyond.
