Working in the Program Management/Project Management areas for different WSV-ITSS. As a program manager I was reporting directly onto the Acting General Manager of ITSS. This task involved a close knot involvement with multiple stakeholders.The challenge was to manage the delivery of the PTE897 Program of Work across 35 projects from 4 business streams (i.e. IS&S, PREMIUM, H&S and BS) within time frame. Projects were assessed on their merrit and ability to implement within the 3 month fixed period. A total of 28 projects were delivered. This assignment required to fulfill a challenge wherein a fact paced, action packed sequel of activities could roll out on an concurrent basis yet had to follow the stringent policies, bureaucratic processes and above all the steep lead time of getting through these processes. Adding to this challenge was the fact that WSV does not have well defined & smooth processes. I took up this challenge and first managed to set up SLA’s across each and every sectors, kept the team motivated and gave them a sense of direction and over seen the entire process, collected metrics and implemented reforms. This role also helped me to get very well conversant with WSV processes and methodologies, their Project management methodologies, Processes, etc. Adding further this role had helped me to develop a very good and friendly working relationship with the ITSS senior & Middle level management, CAM’s, BA’s and other stakeholders. The result was that I could well understand the synergies between the various stakeholders and group which had thoroughly helped to overcome challenges working in a high pressure environment. This understanding had helped me to develop clear working strategies with WSV.
