In Malaysia, GMG has purchased a cruise terminal and I worked with the group, reporting to the CEO to establish a container terminal at the site. We built business models and worked with the team established to build up the business case for the port. Actively involved in meeting and presentations to bankers for financing, various government agencies for the necessary approvals and presentation to the Economic Council, chaired by Prime Minister, Dato’ Seri Najib Tun Razak for the port operating licences.I also looked into various business process areas for improvement and cost management. His role as strategist was instrumental in moving the objectives of the port ahead.

Over the tenure at Arthur Andersen, the first five years were involved in audit & business consulting projects while the next five years, although still in auditing, were more focused in the set-up of the computer auditing division, covering computer audit techniques & methods and project execution known as Computer Risk Management.As a Senior Manager, he has been consulted on process and technical issues by clients and was very actively involved in performing EDP reviews and computer audits tests using Computer Assisted Audit Techniques (CAAT) at several installations, including manufacturing and financial institutions. During his term in Chicago, Prabodh worked with the Utilities & Telecommunications Division of the Audit & Business Advisory Practice which specialised in audit of regulated and self-regulated industries, such as public schools, telecommunications, water & power utilities and related companies. While similar to audits of commercial organisations, it required additional reviews of revenue determination and cost management techniques. While in Malaysia, Prabodh served with the Manufacturing Division thus, in addition to financial and governance, developing an understanding the manufacturing processes along with cost drivers for manufacturing organisations.On assignments, Prabodh was involved in a special project on the reconciliation of each company’s engineering database ( TIRKS ) and billing database ( CABS ). This was the result of the claim by American Telephone & Telegraph Co. that the inconsistent databases resulted in improper cost allocation to the special access circuits.As part of a special attestation exercise on the Part 64 Cost Allocation requirements of the FCC Order 86-111 for proper allocation between regulated and non-regulated cost pools in order to prevent cross subsidization by rate payers on non-regulated expenditures. This included a review of the Ameritech Cost Allocation Manual, identification of proper cost allocation schemes and determination of allocation factors for budgeting and actual comparisons.He was actively involved in revenue assurance exercises for Telco’s that he audited, both during his tenure in financial audits and during special project under Computer Risk Management. He has developed work programs for cost allocation and revenue assurance to help his team in the execution of these initiatives. Prabodh is well versed with both the information technology angle as well as the business process angles. With his financial, accounting and audit background, Prabodh is an asset to any team he joins.
