A creative approach to achieving work/life balance!After years of drawing for leisure, I was encouraged to move my art from hobby to a small business - so @VendPracticalTactical was established. Through a dedicated permanent unmanned market space in my hometown of Brisbane, I began to showcase and sell my unique artistic creations - from original artworks, quirky mixed media and handmade cards.I assembled an imaginative collection of bespoke and timeworn items fashioned from paper, graphite, watercolour, ink, wood, words, recycled cotton fabrics, feathers, metal and memories.Original "drawn" graphite images (on hot and cold pressed watercolour paper) plus quirky "torn" cards and framed vintage music, recycled fabrics and papers. Framed and unframed. Many have a "masculine" quality - think fishing reels, hooks and sinkers, playing cards, tap shoes, football jersey's and pocket watches. Others are much softer - think children's teddy bears, choirboys, winged insects, love notes, music and flowers. Some are just outright strange, curious and/or whimsical - such as my signature garden gnomes, cats and rabbits with metallic whiskers, drawn black and white lego pieces and mini messages in bottles.Branching out from the success of @vendpracticaltactical, I established a dedicated new small business venture Torn and Drawn in 2019.Follow my creative adventures on Facebook and Instagram

Practical Tactical was established in 2005, offering hands-on strategic consultancy-based marketing communications services to a range of clients – from education and healthcare though to the arts sector. Mix of B2B, B2C, F2F, media liaison, brand promotions and event-based deliverables. Focus on brand management and relationship building – both corporate and personal.
