• Managing vApps and VMs using vCloud Director as well as vCenter server.• Handling client issues on call and providing the solution and suggestion for better resource utilization and maximum up time.• Managing complete in-house Data Center including hardware as well as software part.• Managing IT Labs for R&D, PE & S&P team for their testing and validation of the ATS platforms including hardware as well as software part.• Have handled Data Center up-gradation as well as Data Center shifting from one office location to another office location.• Managing VMware, specifically VSphere 5.1 to monitor cluster performance, optimize the server environment, and diagnose and resolve production issues in 1 Data Center and over 20 servers.• Experience in Terminal Server and Microsoft Clustering in Windows based server environment.• Experience with Virtualization technologies like Installing, Configuring, and Administering VMware ESX/ESXi. Created and managed VMs and also involved in the maintenance of Virtual Servers.• Practical work experience on Dell/HP hardware like VRTx Server, Rack-mounted Servers, Tower Servers, Desktop and other peripherals, Installation, Maintenance, Monitoring, Troubleshooting.• Knowledge about SAN Configuration and Implementation, Storage Components like Internal storage, Attached storages, SAN Switches, HBA (Host Bus Adapter), LUN (Logical Unit Numbers) & Mapping, RAID groups, Volume Groups.• Managing and troubleshooting Windows 2008 servers including (SQL Server 2005, 2005 R2, 2008 and 2008 R2, GP policies, User management, Housekeeping stuffs, installing applications, Network troubleshooting etc.)• Creating Incident/changes and Troubleshooting incidents, serving client requests and providing root cause analysis within defined SLA.• Resolving complex application questions or problems in the areas of systems configuration, product functionality, and enhancements with courtesy and sense of urgency.

Job Details :• Currently managing Alstom PAC IS Data Centers using VMware ESX 5.0, VCenter 5.0, Dell rack servers and storage, Data Domain and NetApp.• Globally responsible for the overall performance, availability and optimization of storage, virtualized environments, servers, networks and data centers for PAC IS project Data Centre and over 20 servers.• Providing L1 support on PAC Specific Firewall & Network as Defined by Central Team.• Managed root cause analysis to eliminate downtime, increase system availability and improve SLA consistency.• Experience in troubleshooting DRS Cluster errors with shares, pools, and limits.• Involved in Troubleshooting ESX host issues with VMware.• Installed new and rebuild existing Servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.• Performed daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs.• Verifying completion of defined routines maintenance/backup plans are properly executed.• Created, changed, and deleted the User Accounts as per request.• Performed daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.• Performed ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, & resource optimization as required & Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure PAC IS compliance.• Data Center Consolidation utilizing shared storage, virtualization, WAN redundancy and WAN optimization to reduce maintenance costs, management costs, data loss exposure and improve support for Alstom’s internal customers.• Raise and follow-up tickets with DELL for any Hardware issues.

• As a team member has responsibility to deploy and handle all tasks and incidents in defined SLA for applications and servers.• Experience in Terminal Server and Microsoft Clustering in Windows based server environment.• Providing day-to-day technical support and administration of the technology infrastructure.• Playing a key role in system uptime and disaster recovery initiatives.• Installation and Administration of Windows 2008/2003 Servers and installation of database servers like SQL Server.• Building VMware session on ESXi 4.0 Server, Cloning, and Creating Templates.• Upgraded Memory, CPU and Disk size on the existing VMware Sessions on ESX Servers.• Configured alerts for Servers, Applications and send the alerts via email, SNMP.• Maintained Software deployment and ensured proper patching on client systems.• Coordinated with Application, Network and Security Teams and Vendor Management.• Created, tested and deployed virtual environments using Virtualization Technologies - VMware ESXi Server 4.0.• Manually removed the failed domain objects from Active Directory Database.• Performed P2V conversions using VM Converter and V2V conversions.• Created VM Machines for Test Environments to Test Applications.

• As a team member of Support team has responsibility to Configuration and troubleshooting windows applications related issues.• Providing day-to-day technical support and administration of the technology infrastructure.• Virtual server creation, configuration in VMware with the help of standard documents.• Created user rights and defined local and roaming profiles as per the requirment.• Managing and troubleshoot the Group Policy, NTFS Permissions, and File Sharing configuration.• Problem management and issue resolution for server, desktop and laptop issues.• Maintaining Physical and Logical Security.• Providing support to the team member’s before escalating the issues to the escalation team.
