Synthesized Copper based Metal Organic Frameworks (MOFs) catalysts and TiO2 catalysts for photoelectrochemical (PEC) hydrogen productionThe synthesized catalysts were characterized and measurement techniques like cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, linear sweep voltammetry were conducted. MOFs and TiO2 catalysts were used as the photoanode, platinum mesh as the photocathode and Nafion as the proton exchange membrane. Current density and hydrogen evolution were calculated.
Guide: Dr. Swapna Rabha•Studied the process intensification of adsorption based CO2 capture. •Developed multiphase models and simulation of multistage fluidized bed reactor using ANSYS Fluent for CO2 capture.
Membrane Research Laboratory •Fabricated polymeric nanocomposite membranes and calculated ultrafiltration membrane flux. Compared the pristine membrane pure water flux with the mixed-matrix membranes comprising nanomaterials such as MOFs, COFs, graphene oxide and activated carbon blended with PEI polymer • Separated pectin from orange peels using the fabricated membrane. Obtained 91% of pectin from the feed solution as retentate on PEI-MOF membrane.
