CurrentKey responsibilities:- Issue RFQs or RFPs to the suppliers and evaluate responses with careful consideration of the customer's specifications- Compare quotes that differ in product specifications, prices, discounts, shipping charges, and currency exchange rates, and prepare landed costs- Provide recommendations to the sales team regarding the most optimal sourcing choice- Convert purchase requisitions to purchase orders with accurate pricing, product details, specifications, quantities, and shipping requirements- Oversee production timelines, handling over-shipments, changes in quantity, quality, pricing, ETAs, to mitigate supply risks - Replenish stock considering current demand, past consumption and storage capacity- Negotiate contracts or renewals based on price, payment terms and service quality- Validate and authorize commercial invoices for payment, and negotiate payment terms when necessary- Foster collaboration across supply chain teams and departments to accomplish purchasing operations efficiently- Timely escalation of issues to management for proactive resolution
