Pradip Burman, a dedicated environmentalist, is the grandson of Dr S.K. Burman, founder of Dabur, India’s leading FMCG company.As the founder of the Mobius Foundation, Mr. Burman promotes environmental conservation and education through impactful initiatives such as the Gyan Kanya Shakti - 100 Schools Program in UttarPradesh and Madhya Pradesh, which focuses on empowering girls through smart class education. He also promotes Project Aakar, which is aimed at population stabilization through awareness and education in 8 high TFR districts of Uttar Pradesh.Mr. Burman supports rural development via the Sustainable Development Society (Sundesh), a CSR initiative of Dabur. Born in Amritsar in 1942 and educated at the Massachusetts Institute ofTechnology (MIT), he joined Dabur in 1968, rising to Director by 1975, navigating significant challenges, including unrest in Bengal during the 1970s.In addition to his work with Dabur, he founded Alternative Green Energy Solution (AGES) to provide sustainable agricultural solutions. As Chairman of the Mobius Foundation, he has led high-impact projects, including the International Conference on Sustainability Education which has brought together over 5000+ national and international delegates, thought leaders, educators, policymakers, and environmentalists from 50+ countries and initiatives like “VIRAM-Agenda Sustainability” in collaboration with AajTak and India Today Network.
