Bundesagentur Für Arbeit Apr 2024 - Present
    Nürnberg, Bayern, Deutschland
The last administrative remnants of the Corona Crisis have been dealt with and we're reorganizing our unit. Starting in April 2024 the Operative Service Nürnberg will be split in three divisions. My division - the "Operativer Service 02" - includes 4 teams with around 80 staff members. Two teams provide short time working benefits and insolvency payments (KIA), one team accredits and funds a variety of vocational training opportunities (AMDL) and another team deals with administrative offenses relating to SGB III, SGB IX and AÜG (OWiG).In 2023 I've been certified as an assessor for EFQM, managing the assessment of our own unit and participating in additional assessments of other Operative Services' all over Germany.
  • Bundesagentur Für Arbeit
    Division Manager
Bundesagentur Für Arbeit Aug 2021 - Present
    Nürnberg, Bayern, Deutschland
Due to the Corona crisis my former division had grown from 7 teams in 2020 up to 12 teams in 2021. So the division was split into 2 units. My division - the "Operativer Service 02" - currently includes 5 teams with around 100 staff members. Two teams provide short time working benefits and insolvency payments (KIA), two teams focus on the accreditation and assessment of labor leasing companies (ANÜ), and another team disburses a variety of allowances for unemployed persons. My main task is to ensure that short time working benefits are provided in time for the region's companies. In a joint effort with the division "Operativer Service 03" my teams also started tackling nearly 30.000 final audits, in order to check if the benefit payments were legitimate. The challenge is to get all audits done until end 2023, while working with mostly short-term employees whose contracts are limited to two years.
  • Bundesagentur Für Arbeit
    Division Manager
Bundesagentur Für Arbeit Apr 2020 - Jul 2021
    Nürnberg, Bayern, Deutschland
The division "Operativer Service 02" provides labor market services for 20% of the Bavarian job market. From 20/04 to 21/07 it consisted of 9 teams with more than 200 staff members. Four teams provided short time working benefits and insolvency payments (KIA), two teams focused on the accreditation and assessement of labor leasing companies (ANÜ), one team prosecuted administrative offences (OWiG), two teams disbursed a variety of allowances for apprentices as well as unemployed persons (BAB/Reha, SB-AV).My start as a division manager overlapped with the start of the Corona crisis. First challenges in my job included reorganizing the division as well as setting up and running a support structure of an additional 350 assistant officers. Thankfully my precedessor was available as a mentor during the first two months.Later my main task was to ensure that short time working benefits were provided within 10 days after application for up to 25.000 companies per month. These payments kept the companies alive and prevented job losses. Before the crisis the annual workload of my KIA teams consisted of about 2000 applications per year.
