I, P. Rajeev, currently serve as the Minister for Law, Industries, and Coir, representing the Kalamassery constituency in Ernakulam district in the 15th Kerala Legislative Assembly. Previously, I had the honour of serving as a Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) from 2009 to 2015. In recognition of my contributions to Parliament, I was awarded the Sansad Ratna Award in 2016.During my tenure in the Rajya Sabha, I held the position of CPI(M) Chief Whip and actively participated in various parliamentary committees, including the Business Advisory Committee, General Purpose Committee, Petitions Committee, Finance Committee, Information Committee, Insurance Bill Select Committee, and BSNL Consultative Committee.I am committed to serving the people of Kerala with dedication and integrity, striving for the welfare and development of our state.I have authored few books, including Aagolavalkaranakalathe Campus, Vivadhangalile Vyathiyanangal, Kazhchavattom, Puraykkumel Chanja Maram, 1957: Charithravum Varthamanavum, Enthukondu Edathupaksham, Sathyanantharakalathe Pratheethi Nirmanam, Bharanaghadana: Charithravum Varthamanavum, Communist Manifesto Samakalika Vayana, and Marxist Darshanam Praveshika, as well as 'India That Is Bharat: An Introduction to the Constitutional Debates.'
