- Responsible for finalisation of P&L and Balance sheet (Life Insurance business in HongKong, having assets size of ~ $50bn) for all line of business, including balance sheet reconciliation and substantiation;- Leading various projects; to enhance control, support business/ strategic decision such as Product & Currency level balance sheet to assess currency exposure & product level ALM, UL product unit recon, redefining expenses allocation methodology etc. - Making recommendations for policy level changes & driving/supporting strategic initiatives across the company;- Working with senior leadership team (GFC in India and Hong Kong business partner) to drive change agenda and various projects to improve finance function image beyond financial numbers across organisation and productivity improvements agenda;- Stakeholder management and setting up the structural governance for non-finance functions also - Participating in implementation of IFRS 17 and system changes;- Responsible for risk and control management and ensuring closure of various audits/ reviews by internal/ external teams;- Ensure adequate governance around data integrity and assessment of operational risks in the processes; identifying process weaknesses and fixing up of the same;- Handling a team of >30 resources (CAs/MBAs) and ensuring/tracking of their growth plan (vertical and horizontal).
