I’m a Nepalese flower designer & currently working at Madinat Jumeirah ( The Arabian Resort in Dubai) Hotel and Resort, Dubai, UAE which is a Sister Hotel of 7* Burj Al Arab. I have more than ten years of work experience in hospitality industry. I have a great passion in flower decoration coze I inspired by nature so I still want to continue my job and make people happy. Job Skills & Responsibility as a Florist• Check daily flower arrangement in all areas for their condition, trim, water and replace flowers if necessary.• Liaise with outlets to obtain their flower requirements and check if anything special is required.• Liaise with Supervisors or Managers for requirement of flower arrangements for both arrival guest room and in-house guest room for any special request or occasions.• Liaise with banquet to ensure the flower arrangements are as per the function sheets and clarify if any special colors or style is required • Liaise with Purchasing Department, supplier, Guest Services, Wedding Planner, Event Department and Butlers.• Proven ability to instruct, train and motivate subordinates• Giving training to new florist and cross training colleagues. • Keep a logbook and record all flower requirements, billing and filing up to date.• Monitor the cost of the flowers purchased and relate these costs to the budget cost • Keep the flower room and fridge clean and tidy at all times • Prepare for special arrangements, special decorations and seasonal requirements e.g. Christmas Decoration, Easter, Corsage, Bridal Bouquet.• Can order all kind of flower and accessory by using Adaco System.• Administrative skills & competent in using IT systems relevant (Microsoft office, Adobe Photoshop, Outlook, Adaco System and Basic Hardware & Network.
