DEMMURAGE ANALYSISa) Post vessel operations carefully check the CP terms along with the Ops SOF/Vessel SOF / Agent SOF and calculate for any available demmurage if anyb) Hold meetings with Ops team (brainstorming session) to highlight valuable points favouring self to minimize demmurage costsc) attend demmurage meetings with TC/Vessel Head owners and try in a most efficient way to reduce demurrage by knowing the nook and corners of the local port rules & regulations

1) VESSEL OPERATIONS – IMPORT BULK:• To appoint surveyors at disch port for q&q survey• To coordinate with shippers, agents for required docs for smooth clearance of vessel at disch port• To appoint customs clearing agent for all customs related procedures • To fix terminal (storage tanks) according to the cargo & qtty• To follow up on port operations closely to ensure quick TAT of the vessel and to avoid/reduce demurrages of the vessel, if any2) EXPORT SHIPMENTS :• Responsible to appoint surveyors at load port for q&q survey• To coordinate with vessel owners, OPA for ETA, stowage plan and other related required docs• To appoint customs clearing agent for all customs related procedures at POL • To follow up with terminal (storage tanks) for vessel berthing & loading plan• To follow up on port operations closely to ensure quick TAT of the vessel and to avoid/reduce demurrages of the vessel3) VESSEL CHARTERING• Co ordinating with vessel brokers, owners to scrutinize & fix vessel based on requirements with accordance to market freight, cargo grade & qtty• Negotiating with brokers, owners for cargo freight, laytime, demurrage clauses, laycan & various other clauses for fixing the vessel• To maintain data base of the vessel available based on the sectors namely AG,SE Asia, WCI, ECI & many others• To appoint agents at POL, follow up for PDA, FDA and other port formalities4) FIXING STORAGE TANKS• To co ordinate with all the terminals, storage tank providers for renting/hiring the tanks basis cargo grade & qtty• To ensure cargo quality prior & post storing in the tanks • To maintain a proper database of the cargo stored in the tanks and the cargo liquidated from the tanks in order to keep a track on the cargo shortages• To negotiate with terminals in terms of cargo shortage in a way to safe guard companies interest• Appointing surveyors periodically to ensure cargo q&q• Co ordinating with terminals closely during cargo loading / disch from the tanks

Technical management position Entrusted with support within areas of ship operations such as crew management, logistics related to operations, service and maintenance of the vessel, bunker intakes and Sludge disposal (Annex I and Annex II slops).- Preparation of Vessel performance report and make plans to resolve issues and improve productivity.- Coordination with Principal/Charters for vessel operations at the designated ports on receiving nominations. - Coordination with terminals for cargo quantity nomination and berthing prospects and informing vessel Master and Principal/Charters.- Calculation of vessel’s expenses and submission of PDA – Proforma Disbursement Account prior to vessel’s arrival at designated port and finalize the actual expenses with the FDA – Final Disbursement Account.- Coordination with Principals for obtaining Bills of Lading, manifests and Letters of Indemnity required for cargo manifestation with local port authorities and issuance of Delivery Order.- Filing and updating vessel details on local platform AFSYS and for vessel documentation and accounting purposes.- Declaration of Vessels’ ISPS / ISSC to the designated port security authorities. - Declaration of vessels to the designated port Environmental and Health authorities ( EHS Department) by forwarding the necessary documents like Ballast water regulatory form.- Preparation of documents for the vessel to carry out arrival and sailing Port and Immigration clearance.- Coordination with the vessel from the Anchorage arrival till vessel departure and keeping the Principal/ Charters updated on the progress of cargo operations through various reports.- Compilation of cargo documents on completion of cargo operations and forwarding to Principal/Charters.- OTO (Oil Terminal Operator) mapping in Dubai port web portal.
