Continuous monitoring of specific consumption of raw materials and utilities through Aspen IP 21 (continuous monitoring), MIS and SAP (periodic monitoring) and taking actions based on deviation against the fixed targets.6. Experienced in operation through Advanced Process Controller (APC)-DMC and DMC3 for feed rate maximisation, maximising recovery, increasing capacity utilisation and reducing specific consumption through regular monitoring and updating process limits.7. Coordinating with maintenance team for safe releasing of pipelines, equipments, motors and instruments for maintenance activities following HSE policies and prioritising the maintenance activity based on process necessity.8. Experieced in safe shutdown, safe startup and emergency shutdown procedures.

During this period, I was trained to handle the NPU individually to produce Normal Paraffin (a raw material for Linear Alkyl Benzene). I was given enough time for line tracing of all the units which will be under my control once given charge. This gave me the opportunity to get familiarised in UOP Prefractionation unit, UOP Kerosene Hydrotreating unit (UOP KHT), UOP Molex unit, Process Compressor House and Tankfarm and sufficient learning of the process, equipments, normal operating procedures, normal startup procedures, normal shutdown procedures and emergency procedures. Through periodic viva voce, the training went on in a positive manner and I took charge as a NPU panel engineer controlling the above mentioned units rightly one year after my date of joining. The training period helped me a lot to get into the concepts of hydrocarbon and gas handling and sharpened my knowledge towards safe handling and operation of the unit.
