Built the unit from the ground up very much like a startup, leading and mentoring the project management and business development teams with an oversight of new event launches, conference production, sales and marketing of the events. My role involved managing and directly supervising a group of up to 15 conference producers who developed conferences and trainings in South East Asia and India. Besides managing the team I was involved with ensuring progressive growth of production teams and expanding existing business portfolios. This included new product planning, feasibility testing, building and re-engineering best selling events and annuals, market/competitor research to develop a sound understanding of the industry’s current state of play, sales performance management to ensure accuracy of market coverage, turnaround of non performing markets/groups, determining pricing strategies and control and monitoring of budget/spend of products under the portfolio.I also worked closely with the Regional Production Director on overall business strategy for the group. In her absence I assisted with overseeing the day to day management of the entire department. In addition to this I worked closely with the General Manager for Sales on overall sales strategy development.Over the years I gained valuable knowledge and experience interacting with senior level executives and researching markets throughout South East Asia and India. I have also assisted in running events in other countries such as China, Korea, Jordan and South Africa. I started as a conference producer in 2004 and moved through the ranks to become a Senior Conference Producer, Conference Production Manager, Conference Director and then a Senior Production Director. The portfolio of events under my group covered sectors such as Oil & Gas, Engineering, Banking and Finance, Supply Chain, Automotive, Medical, Public Relations, Manufacturing, Transport, Infrastructure, Government, Human resources, Alternative Energy / Power, Information Technology, Sales & Marketing……
