Defining innovation and development priorities: • Proposing R&D choices for the project(s) in line with the company's needs and strategy. • Identify possible improvements in research processes to optimize the performance of the project(s). • Propose partnerships with manufacturers and/or other research laboratories. • Ensuring compliance with good laboratory practice (GLP) within the department.• Overseeing editorial responsibilities such as drafting patent filing (IP), Publications and book chapters.Project team management: • Allocating tasks according to skills and specialties and managing the team's schedule. • Alerting on the main obstacles and deciding on solutions to be implemented. • Drawing up the provisional budget in line with the amount of investment planned by the Company.• Drafting and/or approving the applications required to obtain funding for the project(s). • Leading the partnership policy: links with manufacturers, laboratories, etc. • Ensuring the industrial feasibility of the product(s), by participating in the product launch and trials.• Drafting press releases, communication and M&S materials required for product launch. With Genomic Vision's proprietary technology, my role in the company as a Senior Scientist (Project Head) involves:R&D Activities:- Develop novel diagnostic techniques to characterize genetic complexities.- Identify and assess statistical significance to rare genome-wide rearrangement events. - Score for locus specific patterns of integration and copy number variation for ROIs (region of interest).- Plan and produce new quality control tools/kits to support internal/external assignments.Managerial Activities:- Design and deliver proof of concepts (POCs) for Pharma/Biotech companies and research organizations. - Compile and organize research based scientific documentation e.g. Publications, Book chapters, Patents.- Train and supervise Researchers, Engineers, Technicians and Trainees for Projects/Services.

Genomic Vision is a molecular diagnostics and technology company specialized in the development of single DNA detection tools for research and in vitro diagnostics. The company’s technology combines Molecular Combing; isolation and linearization of genomic DNA, with a unique targeting and detection strategy, the Genomic Morse Code. My role in the company as a Research Scientist is to develop alternative procedures for testing oncogenetic diseases by implicating company’s technology for characterizing new drug targets.
