This project will help Cargill grow its pectin footprint in South America and answering the global growing demand for label-friendly ingredients in food applications.Responsible for developing/ reviewing/supporting:• Elaborate project criteria, mass and energy balances, process descriptions, manufacturing standards (CMO), process and control (automation) narratives and good engineering practices (best practices).• Process flow diagrams (PFD, BFD) and Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).• Process Risk Assessment (PRA) using SWIFT and HAZOP methodologies, Layers of protection analysis (LOPA).• Selection of technologies, equipment and instrumentation by TCO (total cost of ownership).• Start-up and commissioning of the plant.• Technology transfer from European plants.

TITLE: EH&S and Process Safety Risks Reduction.Cargill performs Process Risk Assessments (PRA) across all the facilities, resulting in action plans for the site teams to reduce the risks in the processes. Some of these actions involve developing or improving technical solutions or involve further study of the problem and identifying what is the Industry Best Practice.The main objective of the work includes:* Technical recommendations to reduce the risks associated with the handling of flammable liquids (eg. Acetone, Ethanol, etc.) and their impact on the waste water treatment.* Technical recommendations to close the potential safety gaps that were identified in the PRA and focusing on fulfilling the required independent safety layers (ISL’s) for the system handling Chlorine (High Hazard Process, HHP).* Review of the Emergency action plan to minimise the exposure of ammonia storage at a nearby facility to Cargill's personnel.* Review the impact of Hydrogen storage on the location planning of the new facility.
