Why I Do What I Do Everything I do is driven by a conviction: the health of the Earth and the prosperity of its inhabitants are interconnected. I believe that by taking care of our natural resources, particularly our soils, we can ensure a sustainable future for our children and generations to come. This is why I am passionately committed to advocating for small farmers, building sustainable livelihoods, and implementing regenerative agricultural practices.How I Accomplish This I approach this vision by using my extensive experience in natural resource management and agriculture, serving in key positions across various prestigious organizations, and starting ground-breaking initiatives. Whether it’s serving on the executive board of the Round Table on Responsible Soy Association (RTRS), founding participatory campaigns like Maati Mange More (3M), or leading roles in Vrutti and GREEN Foundation, my method has always been to bring stakeholders together for systemic change.What I Have Done and What I'm Doing Currently, I am honored to contribute as a prestigious role holder at the National Coalition for Natural Farming (NCNF), a platform where I can leverage my decades-long experience for larger impact. Here, my aim is to build frameworks that not only sustain but enrich our natural ecosystems, thereby advocating for policies and practices that benefit small farmers and ensure sustainable livelihoods.My JourneyI began as an Extensionist in an ICEF-funded project and transitioned to Community Organizer in Rajasthan. As a Field Specialist at Indian Farm Forestry Development Cooperative, I focused on livelihood interventions.Over the years, my leadership roles expanded. I was the CEO for Vrutti, founded Maati Mange More (3M), and served on international boards like RTRS. I've also consulted for CMS - Social Impact Specialists and co-founded NATURAL CAPITAL.What I'm Aiming For At National Coalition for Natural Farming, my aim is to unite my varied experiences and insights to develop comprehensive policies and frameworks that will reshape our approach to agriculture and natural resource management.
