Hands on experience in design of HVAC & Fire Fighting systems for ships that includes• Design and estimation of HVAC & Fire Fighting System (Marine) in Naval Ships.• Design calculation of conventional citadel and total atmospheric control system (TACS). • Design calculation for the machinery spaces ventilation as per ISO standards. • Responsible for basic and detailed Marine HVAC & Fire Fighting systems design to support tender for new construction.• Manage the day-to-day engineering functions to meet organization’s objectives. • Liaise with classification and regulatory bodies for getting design and drawing approval. • Ensure projects comply with class, regulatory bodies and owners’ requirements. • Ensure project drawings are on schedule. • Knowledge on Full HVAC & Fire Fighting System- marine /ship systems design requirements such as Classification Society Rules, IMO Regulations, SOLAS Requirements and general marine standards and practices ; ( IRS, ABS, DNV, GL, LRS etc) • Selection of proper air conditioning and NBCD equipment to suit the project requirement.• Analyzing Psychrometric process of Air conditioning system by using AHH software.• Forwarding the enquiries to suppliers for the selected air conditioning & firefighting equipment. • Preparation of scope of work and quotation for new projects. • Work with the contracts team to ensure customer deadlines are met and that equipment supplied meets our requirements and stated specifications.• Keeping track of site progress and project schedule. • Follow-up with purchase departments for the materials to complete the project as per schedule. • Preparation of as built drawings and documentation after completion of project.
