Commissioning of Electrical systems associated with Siemens Combined cycle power plant

• Review the contract specification & extracting the scope of work.• Reviewing the technical specification & offer provided by supplier for electrical & instrumentation, ensuring that it is complying the contract specification & within the budget, followed by submittal to customer for approval• Coordination with client for approvals of submittal and technical clarifications needed for the project• Lead a team of site engineer, foreman & workers in execution of site works.• Manage all electrical works in allotted section ensuring completion prior to targeted schedule • Coordination with testing & commissioning team, mechanical & civil team to ensure smooth progress of work.• Resolve technical issues & site related issues immediately to achieve targeted work schedule. • Proactively involved in Control and logic checkups and interface functioning between generator and associated equipments namely GCB, Switchgear & interfacing with DCS panel• Involve in operation and maintenance of power plants post commissioning during warranty period.• Check and certify the monthly invoice claims by sub contractor• Implementing various cost control techniques to complete the installation activity within the budgeted cost maintaining the quality of the work.• Attend weekly and monthly safety & progress meetings with client and contractors.

• Carried out Preventive, preventive & breakdown maintenance of electrical installations at the Process plant & Power plant• Hands on experience in SAP module for spare part management and indenting.• Held energy audit & safety audit for 2 plants and residential colony. Involved in various improvement projects in plant.• Worked on implementation of various Power Saving projects such as DELSTAR converters for agitators, usage of Energy Efficient Motors, running Generator with a reduced frequency, providing MCB’s to MCC lighting etc. Net saving of 2K units/day was achieved in 5 months.• Trained staff and workmen on World class manufacturing, problem solving tools and techniques like 6 sigma methodology, Y-Y analysis, FMEA, Kaizen etc.• Completed 2 projects using Six sigma techniques. (A) Increasing steam generation efficiency of Saw dust Boiler (B) Reduction in motor failure rate.
