DNS Server: The DNS software in Open Enterprise Server integrates DNS information into Novell eDirectory, which greatly simplifies network administration by enabling us to enter all configuration information and zone data into one distributed database. The DNS configuration information & zone data is replicated just like any other data in eDirectory.2. DHCP Server: Novell DHCP server automatically assigns IP addresses and other configuration information to clients upon request or when the clients are restarted. Integrating DHCP with eDirectory enables us to enter all configuration information into one distributed database. This greatly simplifies network administration and provides for the replication of DHCP configuration information. 3. Centralized e-Directory based user management (LUM): Linux User Management lets us configure Linux workstations and servers on the network so users can log in to them by using user login information stored in Novell eDirectory instead of each computer. After authenticating, users have the rights and privileges as specified in eDirectory. Users can log in to Linux computers by using access methods such as login, FTP, SSH, su, rsh, rlogin and gdm (GNOME). They simply enter their familiar eDirectory credentials. LUM uses the Pluggable Authentication Module (PAM), and Name Service Switch (NSS) framework to manage account authentication and other access requests. 1. Development of LTE EPC Simulator The project objective was to develop simulators for all the elements in LTE EPC Core network (viz: eNodeB/UE, MME, SGW, PGW) with the corresponding stacks. Development of LTE EPC Simulator The project objective was to develop simulators for all the elements in LTE EPC Core network (viz: eNodeB/UE, MME, SGW, PGW) with the corresponding stacks. GTPv2C and GTPU stacks were supported for MME, S/PGW; and NAS, S1AP/SCTP for MME, eNodeB/UE. It can be used in functional, load/performance and regression testing. It provides features for describing the logic of the test cases as well for creating and updating the message templates. Peak performance of 1200 ceps, with a capacity of 0.2 million UEs was achieved for all the emulators. The set of simulators were used for testing MME, S/PW as SUT.2. Development of Pre-R8 SGSN Simulator The project objective was to develop Pre-R8 SGSN simulator for testing GGSN in UMTS core network. The simulator also emulates the entire UMTS network behind the SGSN (i.e. UE). It can be used in functional testing, load/performance testing and regression testing. Protocol stacks for GTPv1C/Gtpv0C and corresponding GTPU were developed. GTPU tunnel establishment between SGSN and GGSN was taken care of with ICMP/FTP and HTTP traffic. 3. Development of Wi-MAX BTS and CPE Simulators Project was to develop simulators for Wi-MAX CPE and Base Station, for testing the corresponding SUTs. Testing was done by inserting a stub in the MAC layer of the SUT, as PHY was not integrated. It can be used in functional, performance or regression testing and also for pre-conformance testing as per IEEE 802.16d-2004/e & WiMAX forum PICS. Show less
