This event… Show more ● This post, as the head of the office, required me to be in frequent contact with the alumni of our college. This encourages them to interact with their alma mater in order to benefit both the students of our college and the alumni.● As a part of this post, I had the privilege of organising a reunion for all the alumni of our college, known as the BITSAA Global Meet 2020, one which witnessed a footfall of more than 4000 people and supervised a budget of over 4 crore rupees. This event exposed me to the leadership, logistics and teamwork required to conduct a truly massive event with the cooperation of multiple stakeholders, from the director and administration of the college to international organisations that transcend continents.● Some of the other responsibilities of this post involve managing a 70 member strong team, solving interpersonal conflicts and galvanising a team to work towards a collective goal. It also entailed calling eminent alumni for guest lectures, workshops and reunions, raising awareness for scholarships and travel grants funded by the alumni for the students and hosting various events throughout the year, which all had a common goal of promoting the interaction between the concerned parties. This required the knowledge of interfacing hardware with microcontrollers and programming in C++ to get the desired output. • This was done on both an LED matrix board and an LCD screen thus requiring two different approaches.• The first project involved the creation of some web pages that will automatically be launched on startup of the device and will periodically refresh themselves.• The second one used MAX 7219 Dot matrix modules to display dynamically changing data of available blood units are extracted via scraping of information from a blood type availability page.
