The Enterprise Analytics Services (EAS) division under the CTI Data Services organization delivers strategic solutions to support data lake implementations, BI & AI/ML platforms, and data management solutions for all the Citi lines of businesses. I hold a leadership role in this organization that consists of multiple teams and functions, Hadoop Engineering, Product Management & Architecture, Containerization/Virtualization, Applied Engineering, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) that are responsible for driving strategy and roadmap for the EAS group.

I joined Citi’s Chief Data Officer as Enterprise Analytics Platform (EAP) Product Manager, with the goal to develop and maintain EAP as a unified ecosystem / product to evolve Citi’s analytical and data management capabilities to serve the most demanding and complex data and analytical problems facing the enterprise in an agile, cost-effective and scalable manner. Some of the key focus areas for my role included – defining data architecture to support SDLC and MDLC, developing rules based framework on Big Data to provide data quality, data transformation, and application development, evaluate and enable new capabilities such MIS platform on Big Data, graph query and network visualization framework, SQL on Hadoop, etc.

Citi started Big Data initiative in 2011/12 to promote data democracy & analytics innovations using cutting edge technologies. Big Data Analytics Engineering group was formed to enable these capabilities, I was responsible for building analytics tools team in this group to drive analytical tool / capability landscape and investment strategy, engineering and global deployments of tools such as Datameer, Platfora, Tresata, Revolution R, SAS etc., and partnering with business and technology teams to incubate disruptive solutions using big data Hadoop and analytics frameworks.

Vice President of Technology in Citigroup Architecture and Technology Engineering (CATE) organization, focused on PeopleSoft implementation efforts including PeopleSoft Shared Application Environment (SAE) creation, Data Center Migration, PeopleTools and application upgrade and new implementation.

Senior IT professional experienced in large scale implementations of packaged or custom Enterprise Resource Planning solutions from project inception to go-live. Executed multiple PeopleSoft projects with primarily area of focus being Human Resource, Financial Reporting and Customer Relationship Management applications. Worked on and managed projects including PeopleSoft Shared Service Environment deployment, Data Center Migration, PeopleTools & PeopleSoft Application Upgrades.
