My primary role at CURE is at the intersection of a social development professional and an urban planner. Thus I identify myself as a social planner and my responsibilities have been to engage communities, prepare participatory plans, share plans with the government institution and leverage funds to enhance service delivery. I have a broader understanding on physical space, accessibility, social impact, finance, and sustainability. I’m versed with PLA tools to plan, prioritize and implement community’s needs. So far, I have directly worked with about 30 slum-communities, overseen formation of 2 credit-revolving groups, 8 livelihood groups of which 7 are women headed self-help groups and implemented 3 pilot projects - Slum Networking project in Delhi, build SANMAN (a gis based tool) to formulate sanitation strategies and CURE-CONNECT (an app for stakeholder engagement). Along with it, I have been involved in preparation of 2 citywide slum-upgrading plans (Ludhiana and Agra), 3 detailed project reports including financial estimations for in-situ slum upgrading (Delhi and Raipur), 2 ward sanitation plans (Delhi), a water resilience plan for Agra City.Currently I’m managing a) BMGF funded Fecal Sludge Management Demonstration Project; b) USAID funded Technical cell;where i'm involved in program planning and monitoring, tracking financial transactions and conducting internal audits/checks; and c) Handhold ULBs (East Delhi Municipal Corporation, North Delhi Municipal Corporation, Shamli NPP and Dharamshala MC) to develop their WASH strategy and an active community engagement platform to hold dialogues between these two ends. My long-term liasoning with EDMC and NorthDMC culminated in to a MoU for providing strategic support.

My role was of an assistant manager (Planning and Infrastructure). In my capacity, I was given the task, which was also my first, of evaluating 110 villages of Godhara District in Gujarat for ‘Nirmal Gram Puruskar’ (Clean Village Award). I led a team of 18 assessors visiting each village to assess their applications for the award. Second Project I handled was conducting the ‘concurrent evaluation of Swarna Jayanti Shahari Rojgaar Yojana’ (an employment guarantee scheme of Govt. of India) for two districts of Uttar Pradesh namely, Hastinapur and Meerut.

Provided assistance to the team leader to carry out literature search and review of existing plans and town planning acts for preparing 'Town Planning Act for Bihar'.
