Technology Internship Program at Capital One. Migrated existing Cypress E2E test suite to Microsoft’s Playwright framework to utilize Playwright’s parallelization and cross-browser capabilities. Significantly improved code readability and maintainability compared to previous Cypress tests with the use of async/await pattern and test fixtures in Playwright. Achieved more than 50% faster E2E test times in the managed CI/CD pipeline, with up to 80% faster test times in local environments for a large enterprise platform.Published an internal Node module to encapsulate enterprise-specific testing logic/functionality in a flexible and scalable package, enabling a widespread adoption of the new technology in teams across the enterprise.

For my Bachelors in Computer Science degree, I completed this capstone project under the partnership between the Erik Jonsson School's UTDesign program and Toyota Financial Services.Leveraging the Natural Language Processing capabilities of AWS Lex, our team developed a chatbot to provide users an alternative way to interact with the Toyota Financial Services API Portal. By extracting slot types from user utterances and matching them to API descriptions via the txtai Python library, the chatbot provides a signficant improvement over the traditional search process by allowing users to find the API they need through conversation rather traditional search.Throughout this project, I gained valuable experience in AWS Lex and Lambda, REST APIs, chatbot development & integration, and project management. Worked in a team of 3 on a full-stack project for 10 weeks. Enhanced reporting capabilities for an internal tool by adding new breakdowns of data using more meaningful categories within the company. Used an Agile workflow with 2 week sprints, daily standups, and a Kanban board. Presented results to manager, directors, and senior leadership. Deployed changes to production after extensive testing at the end of the program.Project involved developing new web pages, making several UI/UX improvments for the site, writing new SQL queries to get appropriate data, updating some tables in the application's database with new data columns, writing new API endpoints to provide data breakdowns to the frontend.
