- A hardworking researcher who can offer cost effective optimal solutions to real world engineering problems. I'm a PhD graduate, specialized in the area of Surrogate Model-Based Aerodynamic Shape Optimisation for Aerospace Applications. Prior to that I completed a Masters in Aircraft Design with Coventry University (UK), where I was a recipient of Silver Medal for the best thesis work. - My area of expertise include: aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics, engineering optimisation, data-driven models for predictive analysis, meta-modelling, and multi-fidelity methods, with special focus on micro-air vehicles. Broader area of my research interest includes Multi-Objective and Multi-Disciplinary Design Analysis and Optimisation (MDAO). - My exposure to surrogate/meta-modeling has given me a deeper understanding of its wide range of applications across various domains. In future I would like to expand my expertise by exploring the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML), to make design decisions for optimal performance. - One of my recent achievements is that I am a recipient of “AWSAR Award” issued by the Department of Science and Technology-India which recognized my popular science article (based on my PhD thesis) as one of the top 100 research stories in India, under PhD category, for the year 2019. - I have been acknowledged in fifteen Master's theses for my guidance during their individual projects. As an active participant in peer-level interaction, I have learnt how to handle students, co-researchers, build professional relationships, and to motivate them to strive for excellence.- I have mentored and produced three University level table tennis champions, with four titles amongst them. Working with them had provided me with an opportunity to improve my self-discipline, and learn the nuances of leadership skills and team work.- I have published a total of 4 articles in journals and conferences, with at least 2 more waiting in the pipeline.- I would like to build, coordinate, and lead a research group that would focus on using data-driven models for solving physics-based problems.
