Work as a thematic expert involved literature review on policies and programs on health and nutrition,rigorous desk review to identify key issues on health,nutrition and sanitation of the five districts of Nepal (Doti, Darchula, Sindhuli, Bajhang and Khotang), training of the field staff, in-depth analysis of the collected data and preparation of the final report

Trained in Epidemiology, Bio-statistics, Sociology and demography, Occupational and Environmental health, International Health, Health Economics, Health Management, Research Methodology and National Health Programs. Completed the training course of Principles and Practice of Epidemiology from Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, India. Attended several workshops in Bio-statistics and its applications. In depth knowledge of Communicable and Non communicable diseases including the diseases of public health concern.Conducted several community based researches. Oral and poster presentations done in National and International Conferences. Adept in operation and interpretation of statistical analysis soft-wares like Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Epi Info.Conducted the problem based learning (PBL) sessions of undergraduate medical students as a tutor. Supervised undergraduate medical students in various field based programs of B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences such as Community Diagnosis Program, Epidemiological Skills program and Health Management Program conducted in the teaching districts of the hospital. Supervised interns at Dhankuta District Hospital at General Outpatients and Emergency and introduced them with the public health activities of the district. Took Basic Level Bio-statistics classes for BSc. Nursing Students.

Site Supervisor for Duwagadhi VDC, Jhapa in Baseline Study on Environmental and Health Outcome Indicators in Rural Areas of Eastern Nepal for Six Model Green VDCs Khanar (Sunsari), Hattimuda (Morang), Duwagadhi (Jhapa), Bhedetar (Dhankuta), Tharpu (Panchthar) and Sakhejung (Ilam) as a component of SEAM Nepal Completion phase. The study was jointly conducted by three collaborators; FCG International Ltd. Implementing the Strengthening of Environmental Administration and Management at the Local Level, Nepal, Completion Phase (SEAM-N), B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Science (BPKIHS) and Creative Concern Private Limited (CCPL) Work as a Site Supervisor involved household survey, conduction of Focus group discussions and In depth interviews with key stake holders; collection, compilation, statistical analysis and interpretation of data (related to household survey, water and stool samples) and active involvement in the preparation of final report of the survey.

Worked as a House Officer in the Department of General Practice and Emergency Medicine where duties involved the initial assessment and management of patients presenting at the emergency, which often involved resuscitation and airway management. Also worked in General Outpatients where I reviewed and managed patients with general medical and surgical conditions. Weekly case presentations and topic discussions were also done. Attended regular health camps in rural village development committees (VDCs). Successfully completed the Basic Emergency Management course organized by Department of General Practice and Emergency Medicine, BPKIHS.
