Hi, I'm Pranit - a first generation entrepreneur, founded my venture just after completing my Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering in 2015.In my teenage years, I was introduced to video games and computers, which was my first exposure to technology. This was back when the internet was still a new concept and only available in cybercafes. After finishing my tenth grade, I choose Computer Science as one of my subjects, which provided me with an understanding of how technology works. We can create anything or everything we imagine with coding. That concept sparked my curiosity in technology and continues to intrigue me.Having a Facebook account was a cool thing among teenagers at that time, and it was a fairly new method to keep up with what was going on in the world.I was somehow exposed to IIT's techfest and Guest Talks - a terrific opportunity to experiment and put your ideas into action. With time, I became more interested in participating in national level events hosted at IITs and representing my college. Working on these competitions as part of a team peaked my curiosity in entrepreneurship.In my final year, I enrolled in an entrepreneurship course offered by MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Sloan. After that, I took the plunge into entrepreneurship with the foundation of my first venture - Samaac.comIn the first six to eight months, I was involved in user experience research and product design (UX/UI) so as to create a Minimum Viable Product. In March 2016, after coming up with MVP, started on field operations for my venture and expanded the company to 6 Cities of India within 3 years of Launch. Covid pandemic hit us hard and pushed us to officially shut down the startup in Feb 2022. I restarted my journey as a Product Manager in March 2022 at a tech startup, building and managing tech products.My experience in the startup was very different from what I learnt academically, it pushed me to think, brainstorm and ultimately gave me a broad sense of understanding that how culture plays a vital role and is co-related with economics.
