Prantar Tamuli is a Ph.D. researcher at the Advanced Centre for Biochemical Engineering at University College London. He is the inventor of a novel scalable artificial tissue engineering technology using cyanobacteria to grow engineered living materials. He is the recepient of the Manton prize from the British Phycological Society for the development of this technology. Prior to this, he has a decade of experience in the building and construction industry as a professionally qualified Architect designing large scale projects centred around ecological restoration, biodiversity rejuvenation, and sustainable development. He is the founder of Tattva, an advanced biological construction company dedicated to develop a bioengineered carbon negative system of building construction.
