About Prapti Shah

I am currently a 4th year at Northeastern University (alumni of BHS Class of 2021), who is seeking to pursue a degree in Health Sciences with minors in Global Health, Psychology, and Cell and Molecular Biology, with an aspiring career of being a Physician Assistant. At Burlington High School, I was fortunate to have the opportunity to be a leader for several different clubs, which include being the Co-President of the Multicultural Club and Humans of BHS Club, the Senior Editor of the Yearbook Club, Co-President of the Bollywood Dance Club, and Student Representative of the District-Wide Equity Committee, as well as our Class Student Council. Additionally, I am passionate about helping and advocating for my community by volunteering at Little Brothers - Friends for the Elderly, Winchester Hospital, Boston Healthcare for the Homeless Shelter, Adopt-A-Class Foundation, Burlington Public Library, Memorial Elementary Summer School Program, BHS Rotary Interact Club, Friends of Indian Senior Citizen’s Organization, and the Saheli Organization, where I am given the opportunity to interact and connect with people of different ages. Currently, at Northeastern University, I continue my efforts in community service and leadership by being a part of NU UTSAV (the South Asian Organization), the Health Disparities Student Collaborative, Pre-PA Society, and the Health Pre-Professional Honors Society. I also serve as the Bouvé Liaison for the College Expectations Subcommittee under Student Government Association, and am a member of the Bouvé Student Advisory Council, along with being a Bouvé Fellow Senior Coordinator and Bouvé Ambassador within the Bouvé College of Health Sciences. Lastly, I work in the APPEAR Lab, the Women Research Engagement Network, and the Institute of Health Equity and Social Justice where I have the ability to lead research studies that interest me and participate in data collection and analysis.
