Engineering and Project Management for EPF projects

Review & approval of critical project documents prepared by EPC Contractor/ FEED Contractor such as Project specific Static Equipment Design Basis, Project Specifications, TBE’s, Critical Package Datasheets, Material Selection Report/ Diagram ( MSR/MSD), Equipment Criticality Procedure, Technical Questionaries’ etc. Review and approval of Mechanical datasheets made by detail engineering contractor and EPC companies for various static equipment.Part of global procurement and sourcing team for heat exchangers , air coolers and pressure vessels.Review and approval of Vendor Drawing & Design Calculations for critical equipment.Review and approval of Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) & Site Acceptance Test (SAT) Procedures prepared by EPC Contractor/Vendor.Carry out analysis for fitness for service using API 579 standards.As an End User / Client - Attend/witness and provide valuable inputs during the following workshops for various projects;a) HAZOP/HAZID/PHA studies at various stages of project. b) Design reviews, Model reviews, etc.c) Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).d) Quality control audit at the EPC contractors.e) Equipment hydro test for the equipment & packages.f) Liaise with various departments such as operation, maintenance, facility integrity in order to obtain correct input data required during detail engineering stage of the project.Supports the Construction Manager / Commissioning Manager for site related queries during construction / commissioning phase of the projects.Provide Inputs to FEED Package by checking the contract bid documents, finalizing the discipline scope of work, etc.Update Company standards, Company Engineering procedures, Technical specifications, Design philosophies and guidelines etc.Participate in the pre-qualification of vendors and review the bidder lists.Drive KOM meeting with and between EPC contractor and Vendors.

Mechanical Engineering

• Total competency in mechanical design & engineering for procurement of Static Equipment – Pressure Vessels, Columns, Column internals, Heat exchangers to different National & International Codes.• Handling requisitions of various package equipment like diesel centrifuge, filters, heaters, Chemical injection, Hot water makers etc. • Successfully handled major SRU packages like Waste Heat Boilers and Main and Incinerator Combustion Chamber trains. • Experience in design calculation as per ASME, EN13445 (European codes), API, IS codes, TEMA etc. of various static equipment. • Preparation of Design Basis, Mechanical design data sheets & Technical Specifications for Static Equipment.• Procurement activities of various static and package equipment. • Preparation of Technical Bid Analysis and evaluations of vendor offers, interaction and techno commercial negotiations (prices and delivery aspect) with vendors. • Vendor expediting and coordinating vendor inputs with various dept. effective and efficient Detail Engineering solutions.• Experience in Conceptual Studies, Detailed Engineering of Static Equipment for Petroleum Refinery, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical & Chemical Plant.• Familiar in application and designing as per PETRONAS, HESS, Norsk Standards & Statoil, EIL, Lurgi.• Use of PD5500 and WRC methods for local load analysis.• Conversant with Design by analysis as per ASME Sec8 Div2 Part5 & FEM interpretation.• Handled equipment of sour & lethal service. Equipment with CS, LTCS, SS, Clad/Lined, Low Alloy Steel & exotic materials like Titanium, Duplex SS etc.• Leading team of draftsmen and engineers on project. Coordinating project activities for making effective utilization of manpower. • Review of Vendor Drawings & Calculations.• Studying of various value engineering aspects in design.• Handling kick off-meeting, detail scheduling of project activities using MS projects.
