Prasad Shetty is currently serving as the President and Managing Director of RS Group of Companies, headquartered in Bangalore. His journey spans from the cricket field to the boardroom, blending his passion for sports with a fulfilling career in business.In his early years, he was a dedicated cricketer, representing Vidarbha Central Zone and ITI Bangalore in the Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, and Deodar Trophy. He had the privilege of playing in international venues in Australia and Kenya. Alongside his sports career, He was also focused on academics, earning a degree in Commerce, a Master’s in Business Administration in International Trade, and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT Philippines.With over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, he began his entrepreneurial journey in 1994-95 by establishing RS Associates, which later evolved into the RS Group of Companies. He has had the honour of forging partnerships with leading Japanese, Malaysian, and French companies,culminating in the creation of RSA Turbotech Pvt Ltd in India, a venture that realized his dream of establishing a company that produces world-class products.Under his leadership, RSA Turbotech has become a key player in engineering, procurement and manufacturing, known globally for their commitment to quality and innovation. They have achieved significant milestones, including the successful packaging of H2 compressors at working pressures upto 700 bar — a testament to his team's dedication and expertise.He also believes in giving back to the community and supporting future generations. To this end, he has started a foundation to assist economically disadvantaged sports persons and talented youngsters in achieving their goals.
