During my internship at Hilton, I had the privilege of working in a fast-paced and dynamic procurement environment. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into the intricacies of procurement processes, price negotiations with suppliers, and supplier sourcing for hotels throughout France. I was responsible for giving all HILTON hotels better-priced weekly products (mainly fruits, vegetables, and fish) as well as products from other categories (e.g. engineering tools, beauty, diary, and electronics) which enhanced my ability to navigate complex procurement challenges and contribute to the success of the procurement team. Also, I have excelled in procurement software like Birchstreet (Procurement software), SAP, and Microsoft Dynamics NAV (ERP software), as well as other Microsoft Office applications.One of the key strengths I developed during my internship at Hilton is a deep understanding of the importance of maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders as well as a better understanding of the market trend category-wise. I successfully collaborated with various departments to streamline procurement procedures, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. I also prepared newsletters twice a month for all the HILTON hotel chefs and GPOs in France, telling them about the market trend of fresh products and about the product focus (what to buy and what not to) as well as the evolution of the weekly prices of fresh foods. This experience has honed my negotiation skills and reinforced the significance of attention to detail in procurement activities.My internship at Hilton, coupled with my academic background in MSc in Supply Chain Management from NEOMA Business School, has provided me with a solid foundation in procurement and supply chain principles and practices.
