- Facilitates the delivery of safety orientation classes, training programs and procedures to all new employees, contractors and visitors who will be working and visiting the Yard / Work Facility- Keeps a track record of newly inducted employees on site and facilitates this to the various managers and clients.- Conducting effective training materials and delivery tools for programs and courses using variety of methodologies (e.g., role playing exercises, simulations)- Updating and reiterates programs as needed to adapt to the changing of workforce and management requirements.- Ensuring an appropriate databases and systems, preparing all new staff documents for Inductions and Badging.- Providing promotional efforts and materials for training activities. Preparing all paperwork and handouts of training events.- Providing support and assistance to the Health and Safety training team as required.- Assisting in the development and design of new and existing courses, training programs conducted by HSE dept. / HSE Manger.- Taking safety precautions for hot works, height works and other critical works.- Understanding all aspects of PTW (Permit to Work) functions including job risk assessments and isolation risk assessments. Etc- Ensure evacuation of that part of the Ship / Rig / is properly controlled with safety measures.- Encourage people to leave the building by the nearest available exit in an orderly manner and direct people to the appropriate assembly points.- Informing safety failures / issued to the Fire Brigade / HSE manager accordingly with ASRY - HSE policies.- Ensuring all the Call points are visible and unobstructed and Fire extinguishers are not missing or obstructed.- Verify third party certification for loose lifting gear, pressure vessels, electrical item and equipment's etc., is correctly color coded and being used properly. etc......
