NTPC is one of the major mission critical support customers for HP India Ltd and one of the biggest SAP client for SAP India. At present around 8000 users login every day from on an average of 110 different locations and the database size of app. 10 TB. Here the setup includes two different SD32000 Superdomes for both Database and central instance configured in HP Cluster with 10 production & 32 application servers which are running with 22 sap instances. BW, EP, SRM, XI also configured in HP cluster with 8 application servers.Job Responsibilities:Providing the Front-end Support for all Servers & OS in Data Center.As an Site Support Engineer to ensure the availability of all the Storages & Switches to Maintain 0% outage.Conduct Pro-Active analysis for all HP-UX Servers/ESL/SAN & Storage and do the periodic firmware upgradation. Pro-actively to ensure the 100% availability of the systems.Analyze the Performance of the STORAGE/SAN as per the growing needs and discuss with Customers/vendors, and submit the report.LUN Management and ZONE Administration of Storages and SAN Directors as per customer requirement.Managing HA Cluster with MC-Service Guard.Installing & upgrading of new system Patches & Firmware on Servers.Monitoring & Managing the Performance for all servers.Configuring & scheduling / Restore the Backup for all MC-Servers.Monitoring CPU / MEMORY / FILESYSTEM/LAN Utilization of all PRD- Servers.File System Management with LVM / VERITAS Volume Manager.Managing High Available NFS / APA / DNS.Feb 2007 - Sep 2007 Greencity Group of Companies As a HP UNIX and Windows System Administrator, responsible for installations, configuration and trouble shooting of HP Proliant Servers and HP 9000 Servers.
