Prasanthi Ram has recently completed her Doctor of Philosophy with a specialisation in Creative Writing at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). She also holds a MA in Creative Writing from The University of Sydney and a BA with Honours in English Literature from the National University of Singapore. Currently, she is a lecturer at NTU where she teaches academic writing as well as works on developing and revising curriculum. Outside of teaching, she is the founder and fiction editor of Mahogany Journal, a non-profit online journal dedicated to platforming South Asian writers born and/or based in Singapore. She also has experience as a literary reviewer, having written for Singapore Unbound's SP Blog, and has developed skills in copywriting and curriculum development as well. She is fluent in English and Tamil, and possesses a basic certification in Mandarin and a TOPIK Level 4 certification in Korean.
