Control engineer for mechatronics system : Modelling, system identification and designing control algorithm for complex mechatronics systems• Developed an Iterative Learning Control (ILC) for smooth engagement of clutch and to minimize the effect of wear.• Developed a model based feedforward controller to minimize the time required to design a feedforward signals for different system configuration and tested the developed controller in Hardware In Loop (HIL) setup using a Dspace system. • Designed and developed an Automated guided vehicle (AGV) which runs on Dspace system to evaluate complex algorithm(H-infinity) for trajectory tracking. The communication was established using CANopen and analog signals.• Developed a Kalman filtered localization system using a LIDAR sensor and the odometry data to provide the current position of the AGV. • Developed a Machine Learning based framework to analyses and obtain simple learning rule (ILC) for learning the control signal.• Developed an HIL setup using Triphase system to emulate and test the different load conditions on an in-line motor at different temperature in a climate chamber.

• Modelled a non-linear engine braking system using black-box identification and the longitudinal dynamics of the truck (lumped mass) using the first principles model.• Designed and tested a real time implementable MPC controller on a high fidelity simulation, which utilizes the road gradient information from GPS to maintain the desired velocity with little overshoot as possible by varying the force from the engine brake system. The designed MPC controller prevents an overshoot of 2.2 km/h and minimizes the number of gear shift(better fuel economy).

Modelled the system for cruise control application using first principle model. Designed a rate based MPC for a linear model, linear MPC for a piecewise affine model which has better performance in tracking and maintaining the desired velocity when compared to a standard PID controller.
